Hi Adam, have you had any luck yet obtaining extra styles for this keyboard. I am thinking of purchasing the Yamaha psr s900 keyboard myself but would also like to be able to purchase some extra styles. Hamiltons Music Shop at Preston sell the Yamaha PSR S900 Keyboard for £1095 and include a USB Stick with 900 extra rhythms, but won't sell the usb stick seperately. I can buy the keyboard from Eddie Moors Music Shop for £895.
Is it worth paying another £100 for the extra 900 rhythms? Kind regards, Ray. Hi Ray, Welcome to the Forums! Just to offer some help on this topic, I did what any user that has questions should do (and while my info came from YamahaUS, it should be on all Yamaha sites).
From the product description: 'The PSR-S900 is compatible with commercially available song/style data including: GM — General MIDI GM2 — General MIDI 2 XG — Yamaha extended Voice set GS — for GS song playback DOC — Yamaha Disk Orchestra Collection SMF with lyrics — Standard MIDI File KAR — Karaoke files XF — Songs with lyrics and/or chords SFF — Yamaha style files' You'll notice that it says SFF Yamaha style files, so any style files that are in the SFF format should work. Hope this helps.
